THE MEET & GREET

WHAT IS A MEET & GREET?
At A Pet Sitting Love Hub, we understand that leaving your pet with someone else can be a tough choice mixed with love for your pet and some anxiety, especially if you've never used professional pet care. We believe that great pet care is more than just a service; it's about building trust. Like any good relationship, it begins with a proper introduction.
Our Meet & Greet is not just a quick greeting at the door. It’s a scheduled visit at your home that lasts around 45-60 minutes. This time is dedicated to diving into your pet’s world. During this meeting, we:
- Get Acquainted: We let your pet come to us when they’re comfortable, which helps form a natural bond without pressure.
- Learn the Routine: We carefully note everything from feeding habits to favorite spots and walk routes. Does your dog respond to a specific command to come inside? Does your cat prefer to drink from running water? The details matter.
- Tour Your Home: We’ll check where leashes, food, and any necessary supplements or medications, towels for dirty paws, and favorite toys or bones are located and confirm how to enter and exit your home safely. As a precautionary measure against any emergencies, we shall also familiarize ourselves with your safest room in the house, breaker box, fire extinguisher and water shut off.
- Answer Every Question: You can ask us anything! We are open to discussing our experience, our methods, and how we handle emergencies.
This process sets the stage for a successful pet sitting experience, ensuring that you and your pet feel completely comfortable and cared for throughout the entirety of their Visits or SleepOver Stays.

WHY WE BELIEVE THIS MEETING IS SO IMPORTANT

Your peace of mind is crucial. While it may seem like an extra step, this meeting helps reduce stress for everyone involved, especially your pet. For you, it changes a stranger into a trusted caregiver.
You’ll get to see how we interact with your pet and experience our professional approach firsthand.
This will help you feel confident that we understand what you expect.
For your pet, it’s a chance to get used to our scent and presence in a safe, positive way before you leave. This can greatly ease their anxiety when we start our services. We also get to see their
true personality, which helps us understand them on a deeper level so that we are able to tailor
our care to meet their uniqueness. If your pet is shy or needs time to adjust, we’re happy to
schedule a follow-up 30-minute visit before your departure at no extra cost.

A PEEK INTO OUR VISIT
Wondering what we’ll cover during our time together? Here’s a clear outline of what to expect:
Pet Introductions First: We’ll give your pet some space at first to help them feel comfortable before making contact.
The "Story of Your Pet": We’ll sit down with you and learn everything about your pet. What are their daily routines, habits, fears, and favorite things? We want to understand their life at home so we can maintain that routine as much as possible.
The Practical Walk-Through: We’ll quickly tour your home to find essential items and practice your home access routine together.
Your Questions, Answered: We’ll make sure you have time to ask anything on your mind. No question is too small.

HOW YOU CAN PREPARE FOR OUR MEETING
THE PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS WE UPHOLD
To make our time together as efficient as possible, please have a few things ready:
-
Have your Time To Pet account activated, your pet profile completed and all questions answered. We are very thorough—the more we know about your pet, the better care we can give them.
-
We'll need a copy of your house key to keep on file should you prefer or instruction on where the key can be located upon your sitter's arrival. Remember, a key will always be required even with a door code.
-
If your pet needs an additional visit, we will be delighted to schedule a 30-minute Visit closer to your reservation start date. Having your pet become familiar with us is very important to us.
If everything feels right for everyone, we’ll confirm your services.
